Questions buyers ask before the first order
Straight answers, including the ones where the answer is no.
What is your minimum order?
Minimums are set by value rather than by piece, and a first order may mix items across lines so you can test what sells. Send the list you have in mind and we will tell you whether it clears the minimum.
Do you publish wholesale prices?
No. A casting is priced by weight, size, the amount of chasing and the finish, and the alloy moves with the metal market, so a printed price list would be wrong within a season. We quote against your line list within two working days and hold the price for the period stated on the quotation.
Can you cast our own design and put our mark on it?
Yes. Send a drawing, a 3D file or a physical sample. We cast a sample first for your approval, then keep the pattern for repeat orders. Your mark is cast into the base rather than stamped afterwards, and a private pattern is never cast for another buyer.
How do I know the goods are really made in Vietnam?
They are cast in our own workshop in Dong Quy village, Nam Dinh, and the certificate of origin is issued against the production lot. You are welcome to visit during production, to send a third-party inspector, or to ask for filmed inspection before the container is sealed.
How is the bronze packed for sea freight?
Each piece is foam-wrapped and cartoned; heavy pieces and tall cranes travel in wooden crates. Where your market requires treated timber, crates are made to the ISPM-15 heat-treated standard — tell us at order stage so the documents match the shipment.
Which HS code applies, and what duty will I pay?
Decorative cast bronze is usually classified under heading 8306 (statuettes and other ornaments of base metal) or 7419 (other articles of copper), depending on the piece. We deliberately publish no duty figure: rates have changed more than once recently. Confirm the classification and the current rate with your own customs broker — we supply the invoice, packing list and certificate of origin that support it.
What happens if a piece arrives damaged or out of tolerance?
Photograph the piece as received, with the carton, and send it to us. A casting more than 5 cm out on a single piece, or damaged in packing, is re-cast or credited on the next order. We do not ask you to ship a broken casting back across an ocean.
How long does a first order take, start to finish?
Reckon on two working days for the quotation, one to three weeks for a sample if you need one cast to drawing, 21–30 days of casting plus finishing, and then your freight. The weeks before Lunar New Year are the busiest of the year for a Vietnamese foundry, so plan backwards from that.
Do you hold BSCI, ISO or similar certification?
No, and we will not claim otherwise. We are a village foundry, not an audited industrial plant. If your buying programme requires an audited supplier, say so at the enquiry stage and we will tell you plainly whether we can meet it.
Can we visit the foundry?
Yes, and we prefer it. The workshop is about 90 km from Ha Noi, roughly two hours by car, and a visit can be combined with our showrooms in Nam Dinh, Ha Noi and Hai Phong.
